Information about the Pricing Structure
The Scottish Radical Herbal Network aims to be as open, inclusive and transparent as possible. Our ticket pricing structure is based on a sliding scale. This is a system where each person pays an amount reflecting their circumstances and available finances so that there is relative equality in affordability. We ask that you please pay what you can afford, and consider the effort and costs gone into organising the event.
The organising collective is an entirely voluntary group. We give our time for free, and sometimes at personal cost to make the gathering happen. There are however significant unavoidable costs associated with organising such an event.
We want everyone who would like to come to the gathering to be able to afford to and we have a small number of subsidised spaces (see below). In terms of sustainability for the Network and the Gathering, if everyone pays the lowest ticket price, it will not cover the cost of running the 2018 gathering and would leave the Network with no money in the bank, and reliant on unpredictable external funding. The Network want to spend our time supporting radical herbalism, rather than chasing funding.
Paying higher ticket prices will allow us to improve the gathering, make it more accessible and help us to support those with the least resources to be able to attend, give workshops etc.
If you can afford to pay a higher price, it will provide a more secure future for the Scottish Radical Herbal Network and allow us to continue our work.
Sliding scale from £25 to £100, with under 15s free
All children must have a ticket booked for them so we can tally total numbers of attendees
Other Costs over the weekend:
All meals, teas, coffees and snacks at the gathering will be provided. There is a suggested donation amount of £20 for the food.
We want the gathering to be as accessible as possible and recognise that £25 plus travel costs may be too much for some folk. We have a small number of free places available, which will be allocated on a first come first served basis, and must be applied for by the end of April. Please get in touch if you are interested in a place.
Tickets will be on sale from 12pm on Friday 23rd February, and are available through Brown Paper Tickets. Follow this link to purchase one – https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3325027
