Adventures in Plant Medicine

 Community & Activism

A project aiming to make learning about and using herbal medicine fun and accessible for children and families. I run sessions for community groups, clubs, at events and in schools. Based in Fife but happy to travel.

Sessions for children are creative, active, and practical, engaging children’s senses and curiosity and working on the premise that we all have an innate desire to know and use the plants that live alongside us, that this knowledge is our birthright, and can free us and empower us in many ways.
Family sessions are about getting out into nature, connecting with and learning about wild plants and plant medicines in a relaxed and non pressured environment where kids can play and dip into the activities as they wish, parents can chat and find support, and all can gain skills they can then take away and use to keep their families well…
building and restoring these skills in our communities and creating a space for healthy play and learning, where wild and wonderful things can happen.

Run by Anna Kinross – a parent of two young children, I grow, forage and make all my own remedies for myself and my family and have been using and studying herbs for health for over 20 years. I work for an outdoor nursery in Fife and am an experienced organic herb grower, playworker, community educator and artist – all these elements are incorporated into plant medicine sessions!
